Rockin Valentine Card and I-Rock Video Tutorial

I promised you a video tutorial on the I-Rock Tool and I have finally done it.  There is also a little info on the Bazzill Senior Splat mat.  Today I finished up another Valentine Card with paper from the “Be Mine” stack from DCWV.  I inked and chalked it for added dimension.  I added the bling with the I-Rock tool as well.  The cutting files are listed below.  The cutting files include two card cuts. The embossing is done with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder and a Cuttlebug D’Vine Embossing folder   [wp_eStore_buy_now_fancy id=44]

    A Heart Warming Cutting File

Made it through the weekend.  We did get our 8 to 10 inches of snow as predicted but it was an easy snow.  Came down beautifully.  We lost power around midnight Friday night but that was no big deal as we were sleeping anyway.  A few of our neighbors lost power for about a day but we are hearty stock here in the midwest and a day without power isn’t too bad. I had a little time to do some creating and came up with this series of interlocking hearts.  I know I will use this file again and again for cards and layouts. The file comes in pdf, png,…

    Cupid gets IRocked

If you are in Nebraska you are probably hunkering down for giant snow storm.  I went out yesterday and did my shopping  just in case we would be buried for the week.  It was an amazing weather day.  57 degrees in Big Red Country.  I went downtown and walked up and down the sidewalks popping in and out of the specialty shops.  The groundhog says I won’t be doing that again for another 6 weeks so thank goodness the mailman stopped by yesterday and left me some goodies to keep me occupied. Namely the i-Rock Tool. I have been wanting one of these for quite awhile.  It heat sets your bling.  You…

    Be Mine Rosettes

Starting on the banner for my fireplace.  I am still working with the Die Cuts With a View Be Mine stack.  I just love it if you can tell by the previous posts. I had a bunch of scraps from Be Mine and I had these clothespins.  So I decided to combine the two with some modge podge so I could hang my rosettes on my garland. Next I started to build my rosettes with  1 and 1/2 inch stripes.  I accordion pleated them using my Martha Stewart Scoring Board. From there I also cut 14 circles,  1 and 1/2 inch in diameter and 7 designs from my “Bird Cage” SVGs, 2…

And Here is the Rest of the Story, the O,V, E Part

A couple of days ago I showed you my L on a Shelf.  Well today I finished up the rest of the the word.  I used my “Bird Cage” cutting files to finish up my Valentine home decor project.  I used paper from the Die Cuts with a View Be Mine stack, Tattered Angel silver glitter mist, chalk, my heart Cuttlebug embossing folder and a little embroidery thread for the bows.  I love a good DCWV paper stack because you don’t have to worry about selecting papers and hoping the colors go together. L is for the way you look at me . . . O is for the only one I…

    L on a Shelf

Well we have all hear of “Elf on a Shelf,” but today I am talking about “L  on a Shelf.”  Let the Valentine decorating begin.  I made a run to the local Dollar Tree today and came back with a few sacks full of frames, flowers, glass vases, potpourri and some of the pretty glass fillers.  I have this one shelf on my built in bookcase that I have designated as the holiday shelf.  Each holiday it is getting some new holiday foo foo.  This month I have it in my head to transform some white photo frames into my main attraction. So here we go.  The first letter I worked on…

    Valentine Wreath Number 1

Funny thing inspiration.  You can’t control it.  I know I should be finishing my project for the “Based on a Book Blog Hop,” that starts tomorrow right here on Adams Acres, but then what would I do at 2 AM. LOL!!!!!!! The thing I found inspiration for today was a reclaimed wreath.  I found this heart shaped wreath at the Good Will store for $2.  It was covered in stapled, rafia bows.   I should have taken a before and after shot but I was to excited to revive the wreath.  I could see through all the hunter green, blue and dusty burgundy bows there was a heart just waiting for a…
