Sweet Dreams Little Sheep by Guest Designer Mary

I have a guest designer.  I am fortunate to have Mary Perterson working with a set of my SVG files.  Mary is working with the Animal Barnyard collection.  Mary used the sheep from the collection to make her first of hopefully many projects. Mary tells me, “The star and moon paper, and the plaid paper is from Paper Studios.  I used Recollections pink to create the flower border (a file I created) and Recollections yellow cardstock. For the sheep, I did a print and cut for the face, using MTC and my Cougar.  I cut out all the pieces in three different sizes.  I wrapped the single body piece with…

    Starry Night Advent Calendar

We still have a few days left till Christmas.  You still have time to build this cute little Advent Calendar for you and the kids.  This calendar focuses on the Birth of the Savior. The point of this Advent Calendar is to add stars so that when Christmas Day comes you have a Starry Night.  The Biggest star of the Night is saved for Christmas. To build this calendar cut the files from your favorite paper, spray background and Stars with Tattered Angel for a little sparkle.  Also be sure to chalk or ink your die cuts so they have a little dimension.  I put the calendar in a spare 8X10 frame…

Solution for MTC and SCAL user who still own a Cricut

Ok, I saw this post on facebook from Kristy Ache.  I am not making any guarantees on this.  I haven’t tried it myself.  I am posting this link because I have had so many people asking me if there is a work around to use MTC and SCAL with your cricut.  So this is the link to the blog that says you can make it happen. The Crafty Blonde may have the solution for you. Post comments if this lets you use your Cricut with the newer versions of MTC and SCAL.

    A Lil Fishy

I have added a new design to the store at DieCutDesigners.com  Meet “A Lil Fishy.”  I have created this one for my niece.  I have a series of onesies that are getting this lil fish painted across the front.  I am cutting my stencil from freezer paper.  Once you cut the stencil lightly iron the stencil to your fabric and paint.  The freezer paper creates enough of a bond to hold the stencil down and prevent the paint from bleeding.  You can get “A Lil Fish” from DieCutDesigners.com. A Lil Fishy is found in SCAL, MTC, PDF, PNG and SVG format.  I hope you enjoy using this lil fishy to…

    Floppy Ear Bunny

What a crazy busy day and it is only half over. This morning I ran around and picked up the house. Because we are going to moving into the new one in a couple of months I haven’t been terribly motivated to try to organize. My only hope is to keep a path open and some degree of cleanliness in the kitchen and bathroom. From there I learned all about the Pawnee Indians on the 1st grade field trip. Fed the neighbor’s cat and made a mad dash back home to find strange men rummaging through our garage/storage shed. The men were here to dig our new well and were…
