Starry Night Advent Calendar

We still have a few days left till Christmas.  You still have time to build this cute little Advent Calendar for you and the kids.  This calendar focuses on the Birth of the Savior.

The point of this Advent Calendar is to add stars so that when Christmas Day comes you have a Starry Night.  The Biggest star of the Night is saved for Christmas.

To build this calendar cut the files from your favorite paper, spray background and Stars with Tattered Angel for a little sparkle.  Also be sure to chalk or ink your die cuts so they have a little dimension.  I put the calendar in a spare 8X10 frame without the glass so the kids could add stars easily.

There are 25 stars in the cutting files.  To make them peel and stick I cut foam with self adhesive backs to fit the stars.  I attached the star to the foam with sticky dots.  When it comes time to add another star remove of the adhesive backing from the foam and attach the star.  Now your stars are stickers and ready to adhere without going back to the craft room.  I also did this so I could give a few of these calendars away.  Now each calendar is a kit and little fingers can learn the Christmas story by counting up to, instead of down to the Savior’s Birth.

I hope you enjoy this file.  It is available in the Adams Acres Store.
