Keeping Proportions in Sure Cuts a Lot Part 1
Sure cuts a lot is awesome but sometimes it is a task to keep all of your multi cut svg files imported in the proper proportion. On some of my SVG files like the bride and groom and the school house cuts I have add a little star to help you proportion your images. Below is a video that will explain how to use the star to correctly size your images. I also have a second method for people who regularly use inkscape. I will get that video up as well.

I am on a wedding kick lately the brother and the nephew are inspiring me to create some svg files to use with sure cuts a lot. I have a series of wedding and wedding shower related svgs in the works. This is the Bride and Groom. You may want to take a look at the wedding bells as well.
This couple has several different pieces. After putting this together the first time I can see some opportunities to make it stand out. I would add some dimension with 3 d adhesives. I did embellish the dress the tux and the flowers with Stickles. Stickles come in a variety of colors so you could easily match this die cut to the wedding party colors using stickles as an accent.
Scrapbooking your wedding and wedding photos is so important. I have a traditional wedding album that the photographer put together but it doesn’t include any journaling or information about the day. When I got married I was not into scrapbooking. I didn’t journal the day and now a lot has been lost. I have bits and pieces like all of us do. It would have been nice to have a book with journaling as well.
Products like the Janet Hopkin’s Memory Binder would be great for any bride or a sentimental groom for the wedding day. The binder is beautiful on its own. If you are a scrapper and I know you are you can also adorn this with embellishments and really make it your own. This would be an excellent shower gift for a new bride.

The school year is over tomorrow. I can’t believe another year has gone by. The progress the kids make from year to year socially and academically is amazing. My pre K boy is prepared for Kindergarten. He has buddies, he knows the rules, abc’s, 123′s and everything in the middle. When he started pre K last fall he was a baby. Now he is a big boy.
My daughter has had straight “A’s,” been a student council member, participated in sports and received awards. Her class is a class act. I went their track meet this year. The students competed with each other and cheered each other at the same time. They are so supportive of absolutely everyone in the class. I wish they could maintain the spirit of caring their entire lives. Their ability to build each other up instead of tearing each other down is something that will make them stronger as a group and as individuals. This is not something you see in every school or in every class. I am glad my daughter gets to grow up with this group.
My middle son is reading like crazy. He is picking out big, thick books that most adults would not dream of tackling. Just a few years ago I was terrible worried that he would fall behind. I was worried that he would never be able to keep up with the rest of the class. After participating in a special reading program through the school now I have a son that is one of the top readers in his class.
As parents we entrust our children to a group of strangers and pray that they will care for them, teach them, love them, feed them and protect them. These strangers are owed more than a salary and benefits. They are owed our thanks for helping our children grow.
I mad a few candy bags with these bag toppers for a couple of my favorite teachers. It is a small gesture for such an amazing school year.

Welding can turn your individual pieces into one unit. This is just another layer of creativity you can add to your die cuts using sure cuts a lot and the cricut machine. Welding with sure cuts a lot is super easy. I created this short video to show you how to weld with sure cuts a lot.

Wedding Bells for Sure Cuts a Lot
My brother is finally getting married this summer so I will be using this SVG for sure cuts a lot time and time again. I am also fortunate to be gaining a new niece as my nephew is also getting married. Wedding bells are timeless and can be used again and again. I think you could also put this svg into action for the Christmas holiday as well.
The pieces to this cut are in a zip file. You will notice that each svg has a little star. I use the star to make sure all my pieces are sized appropriately. The star is not used for any other purpose than to size the svg images.
