Quickutz Revoluton will Not Use Cuttlebug Emboss Folders

I have looked for days for an answer to this question.  Hobby Lobby had the Quikutz Revolution for $39.99 and with the 40% coupon I could pick it up for about $25.  I just wanted a machine to do embossing because I already have the Circut machine for die cutting.  The gracious gals from the Scrapbook.com forum provide me a quick answer today.  Cuttlebug with take quickutz embossing dies but quikutz doesn’t accept cuttlebug which is a big fat bummer.  So now I will be saving my pennies and grab the cuttlebug instead.

That isn’t true. I use the CB embossing folders in my Revolution all the time. However, you need to buy the 12″ cutting plate to use the A2 folders and the sticky grid mat. So there is an extra expense, but for people who already own a Revolution, you can use the folders. I only bought my first A2 folder recently (the elusive Swiss Dot!), but I have used a ton of the small 4up ones on my cards.

If you’re just starting out and haven’t already invested in a ton of QK dies, the Cuttlebug is the better deal. Especially if you like any of the Sizzix dies (the Revolution can’t take ANY of those).
